Ivan Varat, Managing Director of San Patrik Real Estate, took part in two prestigious global events in Singapore: the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Asia Pacific Forum and the JLL Global Property Expo 2025. Accompanied by his son Patrik, he represented Croatia as a destination, engaged in a series of educational sessions, and connected with fellow professionals from renowned agencies around the world that are part of the LeadingRE network.

At the JLL Global Property Expo 2025 which gathered professionals and exhibitors from around the world including British Land, DAMAC, EMAAR, HSBC and JLL, Ivan joined the panel discussion “What to Look for in an Agent When Buying Abroad.” The panel also featured Travis Coleman from Belle Property (Australia), João Reis from JLL Portugal, and moderator Robin Lasure from LeadingRE.
The discussion focused on what matters most to international buyers when choosing a real estate agent. Trust, clarity in communication, deep market knowledge and genuine human connection were central themes.
“At the heart of it all is the relationship. A buyer often has no idea who they are dealing with, especially in a foreign market. My goal from the start is to show I am a trustworthy person and that they can rely on our team. When we communicate that clearly, everything becomes much easier,” Ivan shared during the panel.
The Expo covered a wide range of topics, from the use of AI in real estate and changing behaviors of global buyers to emerging markets and the financial aspects of investment. Through personal meetings and conversations, Ivan further positioned Croatia as a compelling destination for global buyers seeking safety, natural beauty, and high quality of life.
LeadingRE Asia Pacific Forum
Ivan also participated in the Asia Pacific Forum hosted by LeadingRE, bringing together real estate professionals from eighteen countries. Key themes included market developments across Asia-Pacific, evolving client habits, digital tools and remote work, as well as the importance of shared knowledge and strong partnerships among member firms.
